Seamless Aluminum Gutter Installation in Descanso, CA

Seamless Aluminum Gutter Installation in Descanso, CA

Seamless aluminum gutters are formed on site from a coil of painted aluminum, usually .027 or .032 inch thick, fed through a portable roll-forming machine parked in your driveway. Each run comes off the machine at the exact length of the fascia it hangs on. The only joints left are at the inside and outside corners and the end caps, which is where most old sectional gutters started to drip anyway.

When Descanso, CA Gutter Installation sets up a gutter installation in Descanso, CA, the crew measures every run, plans where the downspouts drop, and snaps a chalk line so the gutter falls about 1/4 inch for every 10 feet toward the outlet. Too flat and water sits. Too steep and the front edge looks crooked from the street.

The heavier .032 coil costs a little more. It also dents less when a ladder leans on it, and it holds a straighter line on long runs over 30 feet.

Things the crew checks before the new gutter goes up:

• Soft or rotted fascia behind the old gutter
• Drip edge flashing, so water lands in the trough and not behind it
• Downspout locations that keep water off walkways and the driveway
